We are trying to raise funds for two very worthwhile charities, one in the UK and one in Mongolia:

Acorns provides real practical care and support for around 500 life-limited children and their families in the Midlands, based around their three hospices in Birmingham, Walsall and near us in Worcester. 

We were horrified to hear that because of lack of funding, they have had to close 40% of their beds in each hospice.  They need £6 million per year to run properly, and only ten per cent of that funding comes from central government.

CNCF has a number of projects in Mongolia, supporting and caring for the most desperately needy children in what is a very poor country.  It is pitiful that literally hundreds of children are forced to live below the manhole covers of Ulaan Baatar as they have nowhere else to go in the freezing winters.
