Russian road police are more friendly the further east you go. They generally didn't stop us at road blocks, they do however set up the odd trap for people who don't know the local roads. We were caught out a couple of times by not sticking exactly to road signs (being pulled over for overtaking a few kilometres after the actual no overtaking sign). |
